Alpha Beta Gamma Omega Chapter

President’s Welcome Message

Leading with P.E.A.R.L. Vision

We are so thrilled that you have taken this time to learn about our esteemed organization. Our chapter marks the 150th chapter established by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, and the 22nd graduate chapter chartered in Cluster I in the North Atlantic Region.

Chartered under the leadership of North Atlantic Regional Director, Mary Bentley LaMar, on Sunday, December 5, 2021, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Alpha Beta Gamma Omega Chapter is one of the newest graduate chapters established in the Notable North Atlantic Region, the birthplace of our sisterhood.

Since our inception as an official Interest Group in late 2019, we have made an impactful mark of service to all mankind in the communities we serve through our three-pronged approach:

1. Direct Community Service
2. Leadership Development
3. A Culture of Sisterhood

We are proud of our service to the residents of Turner Station and the surrounding communities of Eastern Baltimore County, Maryland.

As president of Alpha Beta Gamma Omega Chapter, it is my honor and privilege to welcome you to our website. Our chapter was chartered with 45 members, and is now home to 60 active and engaged members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sisterhood.

As of July 2022 we transitioned from the Excellence themed vision of our International President, Glenda Glover, and we are now working diligently to execute the 2022-2026 vision of our new International President Danette Anthony Reed, via the Soaring to Greater Heights of Sisterhood and Service platform; and delivering on our new Regional Director Elicia Pegues Spearman’s theme of putting the Notable North Atlantic Region F.I.R.S.T.

Your continued participation in our events is greatly appreciated. Your unwavering support is essential to the success of our ongoing efforts to provide “Service to All Mankind.”

Please continue on our website and visit our social media pages for updates on how we will continue to implement innovative programming as our first year as Alpha Beta Gamma Omega Chapter comes to a close, and a new year of work begins!

Yours in Service to All Mankind,

Cylia E. Lowe-Smith, Esq., President
